Cory Anne Cassidy, Esq.
A Plaintiff's Attorney
Cory Anne Cassidy, a partner of the firm, has known from the time she was a young girl that she wanted to represent plaintiffs in their pursuit of justice and assist them with securing the compensation they deserve. She first became involved with the firm, which would become the source of her work family, when she had the good fortune of meeting Anthony J. Riposta, Esq., a great mentor, in 2009 and began as a law clerk during that summer in law school. Upon her graduation from Rutgers University School of Law in Newark, Cory returned to the firm and joined as an attorney in December of 2010, when she was admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey. She has since become certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, a certification which less than 3% of attorneys in New Jersey hold.
Cory’s primary work at the firm entails personal injury litigation. She handles personal injury and workers’ compensation files from initial client meetings to conclusion, including commencement of suit and claims, discovery, motion practice, legal research and brief writing, court appearances, arbitrations, mediations, and trials. Some of the cases she has worked on are automobile collisions, truck accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, construction accidents, legal malpractice, wrongful termination and discrimination cases, and toxic exposure cases. Additionally, Cory has appeared before the Appellate Division.
Cory cares about each and every one of the firm’s clients and works hands-on with them throughout the progression of their matters. She has dedicated her career and life’s work to this firm and has spent tireless hours caring for and assisting hundreds of clients, assisting the firm with securing millions of dollars of compensation for their clients.
During law school, Cory researched some of her areas of interest, including environmental justice issues, as well as international women’s human rights issues. She participated in Rutgers’ Moot Court Baker Trial Competition and Women’s Law Forum. Cory is especially proud to have completed her undergraduate studies at Douglas College, an all-women’s school within Rutgers University.
Outside of the practice, Cory enjoys spending time with her husband, children, family and beloved dogs, Henry and Muffin, and bearded dragon, Lizzy. She enjoys nature and outdoor activities, reading about biomedical and environmental issues, theater, and running.
